It's time to sign up for your fall CSER. What better way to do it than to spend your Fall Break with us helping with our Fall Festival!?!?

Joshua’s Hands needs workers for our annual Fall Festival on October 14. It’s lots of work and lots of fun!  

The event will be held on a FARM. Some work will be done hauling games and supplies from a BARN. This is LOTS of WORK - some of it involves getting dirty and/or painting - but a great opportunity!

We offer games, crafts, pony rides and entertainment to the community FREE of charge. We need your help to prep for the event and staff the stations. We have 20+ games that attract kids to the event. The Gospel is shared throughout. In the past, 40-60 people have come to Christ at this event!

What we’re looking for is COMMITMENT and JOY!

This event takes place over Fall Break. LU students will be picked up on campus – Wednesday (10/11) and returned to campus on Sunday (10/15).  Transportation, room and board will be provided. (Event: Northern VA)  Spend Fall Break with us and earn all of your fall CSER! SPREAD the WORD! Students are welcome to signup even if they don’t need CSER this semester! Willing hands and servant hearts are welcome! Maximum 25 students. MAXIMUM 14 students who need transportation/housing. (Ideal for students local to Loudoun County (VA) who can provide their own transportation/housing.)


What to bring

Shoes suitable for the farm (closed toe)        Money for fast food dinner on Wednesday while traveling

LU shirt(s)                                                           Water bottle (with your name on it)

Registration for LU Serve is through ASIST

1)  Login to your CSER Dashboard.

2)  Click on “Register for CSER.”

3)  Select the semester for which you need to register (when you actually complete the CSER, not necessarily for when you need the credit applied).

4)  From the 1st drop down menu, select your CSER course code, CSER 399-001 - Special Projects. 

5)  Search for info@joshuashands and select it from the search results along with your supervisor (Joyce Guthrie). 

6)  After selecting a supervisor, click “Register.”

7)  Make sure your registration information is correct and click the check box to acknowledge the CSER policies.

8) Sign the form and click “Submit for Approval.”


When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation code and e-mail. Keep a copy of the confirmation. Your supervisor will also receive an e-mail within 24 hours letting her know that you have requested her to take the next step in your registration.
